Who we are

Apply Direct is the online portal of Visademy Education, based in Auckland, New Zealand. We help students from Sri Lanka and India apply to study at New Zealand institutions. We handle your personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

We only collect what you give us through this website:

• When you ask a question: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, the field you’re interested in and your question.
• When you apply: your name, contact details, country and address, the programme you’re interested in, your qualifications and work experience, your CV and any documents you attach, and anything else you choose to tell us.

While you fill in the application form, your answers (not your files) are saved in your own browser so you don’t lose them. They’re removed when you send the form or choose Start over. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Our servers keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the website running and secure.

How we use it

• To answer your questions and suggest programmes that fit you.
• To check your documents and prepare your application.
• To send your application to the institutions you choose to apply to.
• To keep you updated about your application and your next steps.
• To introduce you to a Licensed Immigration Adviser in New Zealand for your student visa, when you ask us to.

Who we share it with

• The New Zealand institutions you apply to.
• A Licensed Immigration Adviser, only with your agreement.
• Companies that host our website and store our data for us. They may store it outside New Zealand, and they may only use it to provide that service.

We never sell your information or share it for marketing.

How we protect and keep it

Only authorised Apply Direct staff can see your enquiry or application. Your CV and documents are stored privately and are never publicly accessible. We keep your information while we’re helping you and for as long as the law requires, then delete it securely.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to delete it, unless we need to keep it by law. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
